An invaluable resource for anyone who owns an A2 volkswagen
It contains everything from regular maintenance to complete overhauling of every little part, and is incredibly well-written and clear. It took me 5 minutes reading this manual to diagnose the source of a noise in my 88 Jetta GL engine that several knowledgable mechanics couldnt find at all. I was especially impressed that there are complete electrical schematics for each individual model, and several pages for each model at that. Not only does it tell you how to maintain and repair your car, but it also gives you valuable background information and explains the differences between each model and variant on a model. If you have a Haynes manual, or any other manual for that matter, youre missing out, and making life difficult for yourself, and you need this book. Anyone whos really into cars can tell you the Bentley manuals are the best ones out there.

Great cable...but not for iPhone.
This interface cable works great with the iPod but not so great with the iPhone...in fact, not at all. When the iPhone is connected, the phone does not charge and you will receive an error on your head unit's display. The phone will then ask if you want to switch to airplane mode then play only the last album in your library with no option to control the music.

seriously a must have
ever since installing this, i've enjoyed driving 10x as much. i honestly can't live without it. i no longer have to take out the navi cd just to listen to music. i used to burn cd's with 18 tracks. now i have 18gb of music to choose from. you can also watch ipod videos with this cable. i can't see myself ever going back to cd's.

It should be noted...
The cable is more or less a must-have. It only works with units that have iPod circuitry built in, and those units are more or less identical to the units below them besides the iPod control. So why get a unit that needs this cable if you're not going to use the iPod functionality? Exactly.Anyway, the cable itself is made of a nice, high quality rubber and connects VERY easily to the corresponding port on the back of your Pioneer head unit.It should be noted, however, that like other Pioneer iPod connectors which allow control through the head unit, the iPod's controls are locked out while it is connected. I was hoping this wasn't the case with this cable and our DEH-P4900IB, but it was... hence only 4 stars.Otherwise, it's great. All song information and control is sent to the head unit as advertised.

It does what it says
Yet another product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have an AVIC-F900BT and an iPhone 3G, this works exactly as stated. I am able to control everything with the receiver as if I was using the iPhone itself, including audio, video, play list, artist, etc. It also charges the iPhone, so I can enable bluetooth to use the hands free without the battery dieing on long trips.This combined with the iPhone has to be the ultimate in driving made easy. Yet another product that once you get used to it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it, honestly. My car is in the body shop right now and I'm borrowing a car from a friend, and it has a headphones style input like I used to use. I hate it, and I have no idea how I used to use it! Connecting the audio jack, power, then constantly reaching for the phone and being like "Where did it slide to now?!" -- It reassures my purchase of this product as a good one.My only real complaint is that the iPhone...

MUCH NEEDED IN ORDER TO VIEW MOVIES!
Got this for my AVIC-F700BT and it works beautifully. The RCA is for viewing IPOD video and the USB part for music. I've ripped 20 movies onto my 80G Ipod video using AnyDVd converter and Digital Copy w/ other DVD's to store movies on my IPOD and watch on the AVIC700. AWESOME!!! Watching the Dark Knight, Wanted, the Hulk - almost unbelievable to watch movies in car. I had my AVIC700 hardware modded to play videos while in motion and it's pretty awesome hearing movie soundtracks while driving. This cable is absolutely imperative if you have a Pioneer headunit w/ video capability.

I purchased and installed this unit yesterday. It does do what it says: radio/CD/Bluetooth connection for phone and audio streaming. It does seem to do these things well, and pairing with my iPhone 3G (w/3.0 software) was easy enough. However, there are a few limitations/annoyances that you should be aware of:1) Single-line display gives no input as to who is on the phone, or what is playing through streaming bluetooth audio. Not a problem for me, but numerous car stereos (all more expensive) will do that.2) The microphone used for bluetooth calling is embedded in the unit. For me, this is a plus: the lack of external microphone makes my care look cleaner. For others, this may be a minus: the embedded microphone is probably less effective at picking up your voice than an external microphone would be. If you plan on talking through the phone a lot, you may want to spring for a more expensive unit that focuses on doing this task better.3)...

Money well spent for Bluetooth audio streaming.
My main motivation for purchasing this receiver was to have the ability to stream audio from my iPhone 3GS. I've only had this unit installed for a couple of days , so I can't speak for the reliability but I find the sound quality to be excellent in that regard. Before this I was using the Motorola T505 FM transmitter, which I had for about four months. It was great at first but after a while I got tired of changing frequencies for clear signals and having to charge the battery. The Sony MEXBT2700 took care of all that and now I have one less device to deal with, making life just a little simpler which is key for me. One minor annoyance for me was that, although the iPhone 3GS has limited AVRCP support (play, pause & stop) with OS 3.0, the play/pause commands do not seem to be working for me with the remote as outlined in the manual. Play/Pause does however work for me via the receiver itself. Not really a big deal but I just thought it might be worth mentioning for the other iPhone...
